Written, directed, and co-produced by Jeremy Saulnier, REBEL RIDGE (US, 2024) follows ex-marine Terry Richmond's quest for revenge against corrupt local cops who rob him of the savings he needed to post for his cousin's bail. Aaron Pierre’s steely performance as the wronged protagonist propels the film towards a satisfying finale that makes skilful use of all the tropes of an action thriller in a manner that elevates the film several notches above its genre.
